list 3 ways that being a parent has positively influenced your life:

Motherhood has increased my empathy and compassion. It's also helped me better understand the conflicting financial goals that so many parents face, which has made me an even better planner. Being a mom has also defined my "why", which pushes me to go further in my career and set an example for my kids.

Please share any tips or insights you can offer to other working parents.

My 2 biggest tips for working parents is to first give yourself grace because as much as you may try, you can't be all things to everyone all the time so cut yourself some slack. Second, learn how to start saying no. Most of us thought we were busy before becoming parents, and parenthood has shown us how much busier we could be. You're already pulled in so many directions so being clear on your values will help you say no to the things that are energy-wasters

What’s your latest working parent win and/or other important info you would like to share?

My latest working mom win is having my kids get home while I'm still in a meeting with a potential client. I picked up my daughter to introduce her and say hi, and the other woman picked up her puppy to say hello back. Despite the interruption, the woman laughed and officially became a new client. We shouldn't be afraid of showing our full selves at work and sometimes that includes introducing our kids on meetings!
